Does the vb with Seymour Duncan's have an ebony neck also? Most places list it as rosewood but looks ebony to me.

    Hey Donald, the older versions of the vintage black with Duncans did have a rosewood board but this has since been changed to ebony following CITES regulations of rosewood.

          One different question about matte finish. I have this guitar and after significant playing as with all matte finishes I get glossy areas. I was wondering, Is it possible to use some wax, polishing compound to hand buff guitar to some sort of semi gloss finish to even the look of guitar? Is it safe to do so with matte finish LTD uses?

            Hi Luka, We don't recommend doing this because it is impossible to match the sheen across the entire surface of the guitar. You could achieve a semi-gloss look by doing this but it would take a lot of work and you would need a hand buffer or a upright buffing machine. There is something cool about the fact that your guitar shows that it has been played so that's another way to look at it.

              Which nuts are used on potentiometers of this guitar? The outside diameter seems to be 11 mm, will "regular" 3/8" nuts fit?

                Hi Georg, the nuts that fasten the pots measure 10.8 so an 11mm nut driver can be used. I'm not sure if this answers your question. For the threading and size of nuts they should be metric for import pots. I don't think a regular 3/8" nut will fit.                     Hi Georg, It is natural for a satin finish to become more glossy if it is "buffed" or burnished. So we don't recommend using any waxes. However you can use a small amount of water as a mist, or a slightly damp cloth and lightly and slowly wipe the top of the finish. You could alternatively use a little bit of spray polish but do not rub the finish with much force. It is natural that areas you touch against the surface will become a little shiny over time.

                          Hi Aris,

                          We are currently manufacturing this model in both Korea and Indonesia. However, we constantly monitor production standards at our various factories in Asia where we produce LTD models. Should we determine that a certain facility is capable of manufacturing an instrument to ESP's required standard or better, we may decide to shift production, or in some cases share production of a model, wherever that factory may be located. The guitar should be of excellent quality regardless of where it's made, and it will have passed our own quality assurance testing.
