I just recieved mine 3 days ago! It's an amazing quitar. Great build guality, great sound, perfect neck for fast playing...

But I have one guestion: Mine is made in Korea. There is no split coil pull switch  (!) . Why?

If you have the classic EMGs (which those do look like, probably 81, 85) then they are NOT splittable! Just pure fire breathing and beautiful clean tones. IF you are interested in splitting your EMG's for that single coil sound then look in to getting a set of EMG X, the beauty of EMGs is how truly simply they are to swap out thanks to the connecters they have patented. If you can plug in an ethernet cable to a computer then you can swap these pickups, trust me it's worth doing yourself. Hope this was of some help, absolutely gorgeous guitar and I'm a superstrat fella myself.

I've had this guitar for 10 years and it's still amazing to this day. Out of all my guitars this is my baby. I feel like this is one of the few guitars ESP has been producing the longest consecutively so its sucess is guaranteed (there are even two different pickup versions). That being said will you please make a version with a gold evertune bridge and a gold fishmans so you can take my money. Make a EC-1000VB ET please!

I have played Gibson for a long time , also played Fender . Never really thought of ESP , a good friend of mine told me I should check them out , got a LTD ec1000, satin black . I can’t put it down , getting rid of my Gibson V and getting another LTD. won’t play anything else . These guitars just feel right , perfect weight and neck is so nice to play . I’m hooked .

Absolutely love this guitar. Had mine for over a year, and it’s still in beauty shape. Intonation, neck are all perfect.

I have a question, what kind of nut would I use to replace this? I hear about Fender style and Gibson and LP style…. What style of nut am I looking for?

Too bad the gloss black with pearl inlays only comes with Active pickups. I think all ec1000s should be purchased with either duncans or EMGs. Would have a lot more buyers. Thats the only reason I havent purchased the gloss black, would have to change pickups $$$$$
