Personally, I have long favored watching video content over the Internet. But before, I used to use only regular DVDs. At that time it was the only normal solution. But with the time of innovative technologies I as less and less used DVD format, even adult movies I stopped watching on DVD and went to hd porn, which has a huge library, which are not on DVD.

Personally, I'd go for Blu-ray. The picture and sound quality are usually better than DVDs, especially if you have a decent setup.
