Hetfield will be Auctioning off 2 ESP guitars January 30th
He is making an appearance for his car show and auctioning off 2 ESP guitars before going back into rehab.
Hetfield is set to take part “in a chat and help auction two of his ESP guitars” during the ceremony on January 30 to launch ‘Reclaimed Rust: The James Hetfield Collection’.
Wonder if they'll be old holy grails, or just like a Snakebyte and Vulture. (meh...)

Well there we have it! BUZZKILL!
I was hoping he'd be auctioning off some of his older 90's stuff.
I know the ESP USA section is dead, but check out my thoughts on the USA Eclipse. I finally got to see/play one in person:

Yeah that is what I was hoping for. I am so sick of those two guitars. I wish he'd go back to the explorers if they ever tour again... but he loves those light Snakebytes. I can't stand them. Way too light and weird feeling IMO compared to an MXII-CTM or 250. I like heavy guitars.

Looks like het ditched the awful greasy long hair lol and lost some weight finally.
So I attended the Peterson "Reclaimed Rust" exhibit and was there for the auction and fireside chat with Mr. Hetfield. I believe the Snakebyte was auctioned off for somewhere around $5000, or $5,500, while the Vulture went for $10,500. And while I'm not a huge fan of the Vulture, that guitar does look pretty bad ass in person! Also, I was glad to see they were the ESP versions, and not LTD's... which they better be for those prices haha!
That's awesome, curious what guitars are being auctioned off!
