Does the Korean EC-1000 ASB have a solid maple top with a flamed maple veneer?

          Was never personally big on the model number in the neck. Have an older lemon drop finish model and the wood and neck are impressive. Not going to sell this one. It is 5 years old or more and the wood is some incredible mahogany, the finish is different than it is now for EC-256. Very lucky on this one.

              Just bought this guitar new. However, there is no push pull tone knob. One other thing I noticed was the inlay on the 12 th fret has model name and the picture on the site is different.

              These aren’t complaints, this guitar is so much more than I ever dreamed. It’s perfect!!!

                Hi John, Thanks for pointing this out. We have been working on some of these minor changes over the past year so there are some instruments that may not match the product image on our site. Glad to hear that you like your new instrument!!

                  I had this guitar for 3 days until it was broken (for no reason), the neck pickup stopted working, i returned it for reparation and it comes back even more broken, none of the pickups worked, ordered it august 17 and had to wait 11 weeks for the guitar, and ones it arrived it worked for 3 days like i said, normaly i would had the guitar back last saturday (8 dec) but the stupid people that had to repair it didn't did there job right ... but the 3 days i had it i LOVED it!      Hopefully i'll have a new one soon ...

                    I had the same problem with the neck pickup too, same model but +3 years ago. I put WD-40 in the pickups switch and never failed again....maybe different problem.

                      Hi Marcelo s, thanks for your additional comment. Classic problem w/ 3 way toggle switch when it gets a little dirt on the contacts. Best to use contact cleaner spray to solve this issue.

I'm not sure who is doing the repair but it should be an easy fix. We want you to be happy with your guitar. Marcelo mentioned that his guitar had the same issue. This could be a common problem with 3-way toggle switches on guitars. A little contact cleaner spray will usually fix this.                               I just played my first gig ever and this guitar got me through the night. It played like a charm and I swear by it! This is my second EC-1000, my third guitar under the ESP brand and it's by far my favourite! I love my ESP Horizon FR-II but this guitar takes the cake!
