The ESP Guitar Company

So I know that this guitar is just labeled as "black", but in some reviews, it has a glossy finish, and in some, it has a matte or satin finish. does this depend on the dealer, what is going on here?

Hi I just bought this guitar and was wondering if it comes with any manuals or accessories.. opening up the box I only got the gigbag and the guitar itself

I own a Vietnam made black EC-10 and I find it enjoyable to play as much as my Gibson Les Paul Standard, Fender Strats, and Ibanez Prestige guitars. When I play it, I reminisce back to my first guitar (cheap acoustic) back in 1990 and just wish that I could have had a guitar like the EC-10 (or the M-10, which I also own). This is a great deal, well built designed guitar especially if you are starting out. The 24 fret neck (M-10 should have had one, 22?), the tune o matic and tail piece, contoured body & neck joint. Bolt-on is a plus! Great neck feel and radius. My “10” models have the rosewood fingerboard (another plus!).
When I am in a music shop and another customer asks what would I recommend to start out with, this is the one especially if they are into hard rock/metal. You get a lot of guitar at a decent price. An excellent “first” guitar to have. A lot of other brands/starter models are garbage compared to this. I will never sell my EC-10 (or M-10), they are definitely keepers among my other high end guitars.  

I just picked up an older b stock M-10 kit (kit is a gig bag) and was super impressed. It's a 2015 24 fret version made in Vietnam. I've been playing since 1998 and I've owned or played every level of ESP from Korean LTD to ESP Technical House. I bought this M-10 just to fool around with because of the ToM I could quickly change tunings without hassling with the Floyd on my Japanese M-II. What struck me was the faithful recreation of the Japanese proportions. The body shape was correct. The blade headstock with its quirks was correct. Even the neck profile and finish on the back of the neck felt the same. It was dirt cheap and came with some form of case which is more than I can say for some of the LTDs pushing into Japanese price levels these days. I swapped the hardware out for Gotoh and put my preferred pickups in it. I'm in less than 500 altogether with upgrades and I would now easily put it up against my more expensive guitars. I can see why they discontinued them because that is way too cheap for such a nice playing guitar. "Beginner" guitars are so much better than when I started playing. And still cheap.

Also, I've tried the low end guitars from Jackson and Ibanez as well and they just don't compare. The LTD is much better where it counts which is fit and finish. The nut is properly cut. The frets are nicely dressed. The fretboard sharp edges are knocked off. The neck back is really silky smooth. It really does feel like a better guitar but cheaper hardware and pickups to keep the price down. The hardware and electronics are still good and perfectly useable but easily upgradeable.

Any chance I could get the measurements for thickness of neck at 1st and 12th frets?
