This is two different guitars for the two different pictures. One has the Allen head studs with bushings and the other has the slot head wood screw studs without bushings. They both have the old style EMG logo though. So it must be possible to special order the old logo pickups from EMG? I'm wondering why they switch stud types on the bridge? I've seen ESP go back and forth with them over the years.

Nice eye Charles, this model doesn't use the bone breaker pickups as it was made in line with the older specification of EMG 81/60 to which these are the standard logos.  Once again, while updating our site we encountered an instrument that deviated from the previous one used.  It'll take me some time to dig into this but that may have been a special ordered KH-2 vintage that had been used for the angled shot on our site.  Same with the RZK, these are made to order so these are not stocked regularly.

I just thought it was pretty neat. I've noticed different years of the original series from the 90s sometimes have the studs with bushings and sometimes not. It's the same with arm bevels. Some have flat forearm bevels and some have the curved style. The standard series seems to be wood screw studs across the board until around 2006-2007.

Hey Charles, yes I've seen this as well, also comes from the customer as some prefer the wood screws and some the hex key and inserts.  To each their own.

Melih

hello  is it coming with steel frets??

Carl N.

Hey Melih, this is equipped with nickel/silver frets, not steel.

Had an idea for a customshop a neck through kh with a reverse James Hetfield headstock, could you guys do that!?

Carl N.

Hey Kristan, our Japanese custom shop can handle nearly any design you throw at them but it should be noted that some artist series instruments are unable to be copied/changed.  If you're interested in a custom shop instrument I would reach out to your preferred ESP dealer in order to receive a quote and put one on order.

Hey Guys, Do you think you will ever release the KH mummy?

Carl N.

Hey Kristan, no plans at the moment though we do understand the demand for these instruments.

Hello,

I live in Australia how can I order one of these ( KH-2 Vintage distressed black), do I have to go through a Dealer in Australia or can I order through you?

Thank you.

Carl N.

Hey Andrew, I'm recommend visiting a local ESP dealer in your region to get this on order.  You could also contact your local ESP distributor
