NOTE: Due to ongoing challenges in the global supply chain, instruments purchased from ShopESP that are not currently in stock may take an extended time frame to be delivered.

The LTD Black Metal Series is comparable in build quality to our LTD Deluxe “1000 Series” instruments, but with a dark and menacing design theme of all-black finish, components, and hardware, a single premium-quality pickup, Macassar ebony fingerboards with no inlays and glow-in-the-dark side markers, and even a newly-designed black metal LTD logo on the headstock. The M-4 Black Metal marks the return of the M design to our bass offerings, with its neck-thru construction, slab body, speedy maple neck, and pointed inline headstock. This 35” scale bass features a single direct-mount EMG 35CS pickup with special black logo, a pickup that combines ceramic magnets and steel poles for warmth and punch with a smooth top end and plenty of output. The M-4 Black Metal also features Grover tuners, a Gotoh 201B-4 bridge, and stainless steel frets.

Got this beautiful bass a few months ago and this beast is absolutely amazing!

This bass is gonna be my main gigging bass for my band Kollectivist, because of the simple electronics, 35" scale length that is perfect (and pretty much an absolute must) for thicker BEAD strings and the glow-in-the-dark side dots.

I'm gonna however change the EMG pickup at some point though, because it didn't really impress me. Now it's not bad, but it's not good either, but it does do it's job.

Get this if you want a simple, no nonsense, sleek looking, gnarly beast of a bass!

Side note: Description says this has 21 frets, it actually has 24 frets. Not sure why that detail isn't fixed yet.
