Although it doesn’t specify like some other E-II models, does this model have a one piece or three piece mahogany neck?

Any chance of any e-ii eclipse's having floyds and fishman pickups in the future?

I’ve got another one on the way now.

Carl N.

Congrats!

Can you guy put this guitar out in white or something? I’ve got one but I need another one. After I played this one I’ve got to have all of them this thick. I play it through a Mesa boogie mark IV and the sound is so huge and clear. I named her Brandy. This is the best guitar I’ve played for my style in my 29 years of playing and 14 professionally. I’d love to see the full thinckness in other finishes but I’ll just have to get the same one twice if not. It’s like that if you haven’t played one.

Carl N.

Thanks for the recommendation, be sure to stick around to see what we unveil for 2021

Dustin M.

Different finishes would also be grand. I actually pulled the trigger on this and now I've been playing it more than all other guitars I own! I'm partial to see-thru finishes like this, but perhaps with more varieties (green, purple, orange, etc).

Hi,

I ordered my E-II Eclipse Full Thickness 2 days ago.

The design really convinced me.

Full Thickness, belly contour, set-through neck with great upper frets access, Gotoh locking, great electronics, great tonewoods, crasfmanship way above the concurrence with serious quality control, ...

I hesitated long with a PRS McCarty 594 but I finally chose the ESP as I wanted an upgrated Les Paul style guitar.

I sold a Gibson SG Celebrity Series to by this one.

It will complement greatly my ESP Horizon FR 2 that I bought around 18 years ago and that is still like new. Nothing changed. Build quality is amazing on this guitar! And in contrary to what many people think, it's a very versatile guitar. Especially with the Dimarzio and Bare Knuckles I put in.

Anyway. I'm impatient to receive it!

Please keep taking the basics of great guitars having weakness and improving it on every points to make it the ultimate axe!

Keep the passion !

Thank you to all the members of the ESP team! Take care.

Carl N.

Thanks for the insight, hope you enjoy it when you receive it

Mark R.

Hello, i'm thinking about buying this guitar and since it would be my first ESP i'm wondering if it stays in tune? I've head other guitars with this kind of headstock shape that went out of tune all the time (gibson). Thanks in advance.

Cody H.

It has locking tuners

Carl N.

when setup properly you should not have any issues staying in tune

Adam Y.

String butler solves any tuning issues on 3+3 headstocks

I love this guitar- its so well crafted - i am really impressed every time i look at this beauty. The only thing i dislike is that the neck is called thin u, but  it is a lot different from my other ESP Eclipse E-ll Satin Black Bold Binding ( which is a lot thinner) and from my 4 other LTD EC-1000 Models- where the thin u neck is a little thinner and narrower. I wish all so called ‚thin u‘-necks would be the same or at least almost the same!

Carl N.

once again, thank you for sharing your thoughts on the thin u neck

Mark M.

Just bought the Black Burst Traditional, awesome guitar plays great sounds awesome , another fine guitar from ESP, goes good with my Natural Blue Fade,

Carl N.

Glad you are enjoying it!

Dustin M.

Are there stainless steel frets on this guitar? Other photos I've seen online show the fretwire to be extra shiny. That would be awesome if this had stainless steel frets!

Carl N.

this will use nickel/silver fretwire, hope this helps

Dustin M.

The intel definitely helps, but not so much for the GAS attack  I'm kinda hooked on stainless steel frets. If there's a way for me to order this with SS frets, I'll go all in.

Thank you for the info!

Jason T.

This is a HUGE step up for the ESP company. I've used your guitars for MANY years and even the ltd quality is impeccable. I hope demand for the Full Thickness becomes more appreciated to the point of producing other colors as well. I was really hopin to see an E2 in White. Seems it only comes in the thinner body. Cheers ~

Carl N.

thanks for the support

I received my E-II ECLIPSE FULL THICKNESS a week ago, and cant put it down.

the quality of this guitar is amazing mine came in at 9.5 lbs, nice thin neck. I was alittle worried about that. I just love it.

Got a smoking deal at GC as allways. If your on the fence about this model, don't be buy it and enjoy it.. Les Paul killer...….)

Carl N.

glad you are enjoying it

Alex E.

This is a terrific guitar. I just ordered one. Would love to see some other pick up options, like the Seymour Duncan Saturday night special. This would make it a solid alternative to a les Paul.

Carl N.

thanks for the suggestion

Alex E.

I received this guitar and unfortunately returned it. I absolutely love the guitar itself, unbelievable quality and absolutely beautiful. The fretwork was perfect, the body was thick and heavy with plenty of sustain, the tuners and hardware were top notch. Everything just screamed high-quality. A perfect guitar, unfortunately the active pickups we’re a dealbreaker. Without a doubt, they are vastly better than other EMG models, but could not come close to the PAF tones you get on a les Paul. If ESP decides to make this model available with passive pickups, I am  re-ordering and this would be a true Les Paul killer. If you prefer active pickups, there is no better guitar out there than this one.

Jason T.

they look AMAZING!

Lou M.

Any plans to offer the E-II Full Thickness with Fishmans in the future?

Carl N.

Nothing at the moment

Charles C.

How come only the black natural burst is available from retailers?  When will the other colors be released?

Carl N.

They are released, perhaps your ESP dealer could special order one for you.

Charles C.

There isn’t a single e-II full thickness in anything but the black natural burst on eBay, reverb or anywhere else I can find on the internet.

Carl N.

True, as this is the only model currently produced in that line with a full thickness body.

Jason W.

I just received my E2 natural black burst eclipse on Wednesday. I have not been able. To play the guitar at all. I cannot keep it in tune. The G and the Low E string will not stay in tune. Those two strings if I Barely put pressure on them they sound as if they are out of tune. They are a lot more sensitive than the other strings. The other strings stay in tune just fine. but Those two strings will not stay in tune at all. I put new strings on it even though it's a brand new guitar. I put Lube on the nut and the saddles. I don't know what to do with it.

Carl N.

Hey Jason, sounds like the strings need to be stretched.  It's always a good idea to stretch your strings whenever changing them.

Thomas G.

Same problem with my ESP USA Eclipse...

Marco Arturo G.

What's the weight of that beauty?

Carl N.

Hey Marco, about 8-8.5lbs but this can vary from instrument to instrument.

Robert W.

Looks beautiful.  Any plans on having a natural burst eclipse that's regular thickness? Or having any models in the E-II range with Seymour Duncans?

Carl N.

Hey Robert, no plans at the moment but we appreciate your insight.  Currently there are two E-II Eclipse models equipped with Seymour Duncan pickups, hope this helps!

Paul J.

Guys, I just don’t have words.  I unpacked  my guitar today, and it’s just stunning.  I can’t take a picture that does it justice.  I absolutely love it.

Carl N.

Hey Paul, thanks for sharing your pics and glad you're enjoying it!

EM

Congrats man! Just in time for Christmas. Looks beautiful!

Michael D.

What is the neck profile like on the full thickness compared to the EC-100VB? I owned a Korean VB one and I loved how small the neck was. Really easy to play shredding machine! I just love the way the natural black burst looks and hoping the necks feels similar and at home to me.

Thanks!

Carl N.

Hey Michael, these instruments both have thin-U neck profiles, so they'll be the same as others with a thin-U profile.

Paul J.

All I want for Christmas is for ESP to finally ship these guitars!

I'd like to be playing a little "Raining Blood" or "Master of Puppets" along with my usual"O Come, All Ye Faithful" and "Away in a Manger" on Christmas.  Please... help make that happen for me!

Just kidding, I'm just really excited for this beauty to show up at my door.

Carl N.

Hey Paul, I'd check with the dealer you ordered this through to find an ETA for your specific instrument.  These have been quite in demand since they were announced at the beginning of this year.  Hope you enjoy it when you receive it!

Paul J.

Finally got tracking info, IT SHIPPED!

Carl N.

Hope you enjoy it!
