Hi there, I'm about to buy this guitar, but just to be sure I'd like to know if the guitars with the "ec-1000" on the 12th fret are older models. I'm asking this because all the official esp pictures doesn't have the model on the 12th fret. Thank you.

    yes, older models will note the model number on the 12th fret, this was a recent change within the LTD line

          Are you still making these? My local Long & McQuade says they're no longer available...any info would be great. Thanks. And if so, do they come with a hard case?

            Maybe they just mean on back order, this is a current model and no case included.

                    Hey Christian, in most cases they just screw on so I would say they are pretty easy to install.

                      I added strap-locks to my Amber Sunburst EC-1000. It's a very easy modification. About 3 to 5 minutes and you are ready to play.

                        If you can turn a screw driver, you can install strap locks.  Glad you're enjoying it!
