    Trying to identify Jake E Lee 80's build

    Hey guys, just scored this beauty, trying to figure out exactly what I have.

    I would imagine this is a mid to late 80's build. Looking through available catalogs of the time when Jake was endorsed I only found the pickguard models though. I know back in those days Fernandes made a Jake blue model like this one, but have never seen an ESP one.

    The finish is not a blue burst, but a candy blue.

    The funky serial and the (luthier's?) signature in the neck pocket.. (Matsuzaka?) lead me to believe it might be a built-to-order guitar? Can't see ESP having production bodies with reverse slanted SSH routing laying around... Or maybe could it be a limited run? Could the "S" stand for Sato factory? and this be #73 of an obviously small 3 digit run? Not sure how to read the neck pocket serial, maybe March 18 1987?

    Any clues greatly appreciated. Thx a bunch.
