ESP Guitars Announces Stainless Steel Frets Now Included on All ESP E-II Guitar and Bass Models

ANAHEIM, CA (JANUARY 25, 2024) – ESP Guitars (NAMM Booth 208A/B) announced that its entire Japan factory-built ESP E-II Series of guitars and basses will now feature stainless steel frets. ESP had already made the switch to stainless frets for their more recently-announced ESP E-II models, and stainless steel frets have been equipped on guitars and basses in their ESP USA, LTD Deluxe, Black Metal, and Arctic Metal Series instruments for several years.

“Upgrading to stainless steel frets was done at the request of thousands of ESP customers,” says Blue Wilding, ESP brand manager. “Stainless steel not only offers higher durability for considerably longer fret life, but the playing feel is also improved compared to standard nickel silver alloy frets. Most guitarists find that stainless frets give them better control for smooth string bends and precise vibrato.”

Formerly known as “ESP Standard”, the ESP E-II Series are guitars and basses that are built in ESP’s Japan-based factory. Designed for professional recording and touring musicians, ESP E-II instruments bridge the gap between the company’s premium custom and handcrafted ESP instruments and their more value-priced, factory-built LTD models.

Detailed information and specs on the ESP E-II Series are available on the ESP web site at www.espguitars.com.

Great news, when is ESP going to update their descriptions so you can buy with confidence that the model you are buying truely has Stainless Steel frets and not a previously made model that had nickel?
